Another family success story - cloth diapers from day one...Saskatoon Moms had such a great experience using her cloth diapers, we just had to share her comments:
"We are starting to get into a routine now in our 3rd week. We did use cloth diapers in the hospital.
My little one was born at 11:03 and was born 2 lbs bigger than my first 2 babies. The nurses put her in disposable diapers right after and she was in the hospital diapers and gown until after their check up of her. When I went to change her next diaper I noticed that she was already turning red due to the hospital soap and diapers. We then switched her to our baby clothes (once the nurse gave us the ok of course!) and our diapers. I brought in our wet bag and clipped it to the side of her bassinet to make it easy for everyone. We had an experienced nurse and she even commented on how far cloth diapers have come since she was a mom and how soft they felt.
I packed our AMP diapers for her and they snap up tight around her legs and work great! The diapers still look brand new even after being used for her older sibling!
Thank you for all your help guiding me to what diapers will work best for our family. With two little ones in cloth diapers, our diapers get used and used and it's nice to have diapers we like to use and wash easily.
Yes having two in diapers is a bit of busier schedule than I am used to. We do diapers ever other day here! Hopefully my middle will want to potty train soon. On the good note, I haven't bought disposable diapers for so long that the extra water we use still doesn't compare to what I would be spending on diapering two."
